Oh my josh ... I don't even think I can remember but I get asked this every single time I have to give my details.
It was in 2003 , I was in Holland at the time as an au pair and had a simple conversation with a friend regarding email and how you choose a name for your email addy. Obviously I didn't have an e-mail address ( no need for it at the time ) hence this convo.
Well , you can say I was pretty purple crazy and was going through this rebellious season in my life.
Thinking back to that time , I don't think I would've wanted to be my mother.
Imagine this, its a normal Friday afternoon you're tired and work was ....well work and all you're looking forward to is your absolute favourite cup of tea , just put your feet up and relax but then reality reminds you " hey , Mrs you have kids , daughters infact , that might just walk in and ruin this moment for you"
Being rudely pulled out of your perfect moment you find out ,from a message left on the machine there's a plane ticket awaiting your 21 year old daughter at the airport , left by who knows who....
Long story short , when I eventually got home that day I never in my entire existence had to think that fast on my feet. Behind the scenes I took a few days off work here and there to go into town and apply for visas and travelling documents. Not saying a word back at home.
Needless to say that was the start of my travels and how my mom found out about my plan for the year. A week later I was gone and took on the adventure of a lifetime ,giving birth to the Purplepunk.01 😈 taking charge of her life.
